VNR Bihi Growers: Field Days and Field Visits
Agricultural extension activities are well embedded in the VNR work culture. Technically qualified, experienced and trained team of VNR Nursery regularly conducts Field days and Field visits at orchards of VNR Bihi Growers.
Field Days: During this activity, VNR Bihi Growers of surrounding geographies are invited at one of the VNR Bihi Growers orchard. These Growers are of different profiles few have already taken fruit flush and harvest in previous seasons, few are looking forward to harvest in next season and few are starting off. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of technical knowledge dissemination, field day groups are always kept small (10-15 numbers). During VNR Bihi Field day; on-field technical demonstrations are conducted, hand-on training to growers are imparted and experience sharing happens, keeping in perspective local climatic conditions and generic concerns. At every stage of interaction, technical executive of VNR Nursery guides the Growers community with agronomy practices, technical knowledge and techniques to be adapted for maintaining VNR Bihi orchard.
